Bandar Baru Seri Petaling is a vibrant, self-contained suburban township with excellent infrastucture. The 251 hectares township is located just 15km south of Kuala Lumpur and it is easily accessible from major highways such as KL-Seremban Highway, South Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and the Middle Ring Road 2. The Putra Light Rail Transit station and the Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex are also within walking distance from the town centre.

Development commenced in 1977 and to date more than 6,000 units have been developed. Further developments are being planned for the remaining area of the land. Plans are underway to futher improve traffic flow within the township with an additional egress into the KL-Seremban highway and KESAS, and the easy access to the 'KL - Putrajaya Highway' is now completed.
